We'll be using Glide to create a total of three apps (1. Glyph; 2. Shop (Designer Tools); 3. CRM Tool (The School of Design).
Recreating Glyph: "The world’s smallest typography magazine."
I’m currently building a series of tutorials that show how Glide works. The first is a #nocode version of Glyph that I built for BERG’s Little Printer.
Little Printer, for anyone that missed it first time around, was an adorable internet of things printer that acted as a delightful conversation starter. Little Printer launched with a handful of publications including: Twitter, Instagram, The Guardian, Sudoku and – my app – Glyph.
For one year, every Saturday morning at 10.00 am, Little Printer's white, "I have a publication for you…" indicator glowed as that week's issue of Glyph was distributed to printers around the world. Sadly, BERG shut down Little Printer's servers in 2014 and, with them, the magazine.
Glide is perfect for recreating it. All we need to do is build a spreadsheet with each issue of content, connect it to Glide and we can recreate the… app.
The following files are in progress (11 January, 2021). I'm working on these tutorials live as I develop them. Bookmark this page and check back often.
