Looking at the Apple ’summary’ slides from their recent keynotes. I think we’ll see a lot of this kind of thing: simple complexity. 1. Apple have their finger on the pulse. 2. These kinds of slides function really well as ‘get a lot of content into a small space nicely’ slides.
We’ll also see designers embracing spacious density: lots of space with dense, visually rich colour and restrained typography simplicity. Screens like the following where space is used – a little like it used to be in print, in the 50s-60s posters of Joseph Müller-Brockmann.
I also think we’re going to see a lot of intense – non-printable, but very screen-suitable – colours: rich brightness. Colours that sit outside the CMYK (print) colour gamut. In addition to that, we’ll see more and more super-rich colour gradients.
